Brick wall, Blazer coat

I was brave enough today to remove my big wool scarf to take a few shots to show my simple outfit. I love my mom's blazer coat it is so straight and gives a nice posture and silhouette. I'm wearing a light green sweater to go with the beige coat and some vintage looking Aldo boots I completely forgot I had. Donc voila some random shots during the day and funny poses. :)

Escaping the traditional winter jacket

I am getting tired of wearing my big sporty winter jackets so I'm starting to improvise warm jackets with my fall/spring ones by wearing fur and wool with them to compensate for the cold.
I am wearing the same coat as in Here. I simply removed the original hood for my mom's fur one and it gives a completely different look. The fur makes my mid season khaki parka a winter looking one. The sweater I am wearing is made of pure wool I got in Scotland few years ago. Its a bit itchy but I love its rustic look. I stole my sister's Mukluks boots and my mom's purse for this outfit. This Louis Vuitton bag is a messenger one and is not the model people expect when they think of an LV purse which is why I like it. The hat I'm wearing use to belong to my grandma and is maybe the reason why I find it even cuter. Voila a way to escape the traditional winter coat but by still keeping warm!

Boots with the fur ...

Montreal keeps getting colder and colder. I hate to zip up my winter jackets I feel like I'm suffocating and I can't move. The best way to keep it open and still survive is by wearing a sleeveless fur vest underneath my coat. It is warm and comfortable and adds a nice touch to a basic sporty winter jacket. I'm wearing my dads hat that I unrolled and makes it look like a hobo hat. Uggs were pretty much my only option for a day like this -29degrees is not bearable in sneakers. Mr Wang, the perfect combination between fur chic and hobo hat was obviously present today.

Leather on Wool, Short on Long, Grey on Purple

I'm wearing my grey long wool jacket that is super warm but is too big for me to wear under an actual coat. I decided to add an edgy look to it by simply putting my leather jacket on top of it but having the collar of my wool jacket covering the collar of my leather one. I like the back of this look how my leather jacket is much shorter and the cut of it embraces my wool one. I'm wearing my dark purple pants that are very high waisted but I decided to not tuck my shirt in for it to not show it in this look. I love my studded Zara boots I got in Athens this past summer, they add the extra cool effect every time I wear them. I had even tried them on there with a summer strapless dress and it looked like I was a rockish singer on break!

Orange/Khaki

Orange and khaki is strawberry and whip cream to me, it belongs together. I'm wearing this bright orange turtleneck that I matched with my sister's parka. I like this combination and that the sleeves of my sweater are longer than the coat's. Its a simple sportish look without my bag, but once on it gives an urban vibe.

Up North & Moon Boots Dilemma

I went up North with my sister and cousins this week for 3 days. My sister and I hadn't skied in maybe 7 years so I was a bit nervous about trying it again. But once we arrived on the slopes it was like we had never stopped skiing, it felt amazing! :))

This outfit was me early in the morning going for breakfast and later hitting the slopes. I am wearing MOON BOOTS yes the big controversy about moon boots! Some people hate them and some people love them. I have to be honest when I first saw them I thought they were really cool but were a bit to big for my daily city lifestyle needs.
I was soo happy when I saw my cousin Alessandra arriving to pick us up to hit the road with MOON BOOTS I couldn't help myself but to borrow them for a day. Let me tell you they felt awesome! They give you height since they kinda have a cushion platform inside which makes your legs look longer and skinnier! They are very light and it feels like walking on air!

So to all you moon boots hater .... YOU'RE the ones missing out!

Since we were upnorth I only brought big turtlenecks. I'm wearing my grey one to keep me as warm as possible. I matched it with the fur of my "true Canadian" hat today!
