White Tutu

I have been trying to find a pouffy white skirt for some time now. I was  looking for something in my sister's closet and found this skirt. Its real lenght is just past the knee. I decided to roll it up (as we used to do in high school) and see how it looked. It worked. Obviously I couldn't wear it with something tight because the extra rolled fabric would show. The sweater I am wearing is loose, I love its fabric (wool but not itchy), and the large opening at the neck.

Errrthing Black

Bodysuits: kill them or rock them.

Kill them: Paired with tight very short skirts and high heels (ie The Main at 2 am on Saturday).
Rock them: Wearing them with loose pants, jeans or a flared skirts or even a tight medium length skirt. It's essentially just a matter of combining different fabrics together (not to wear cotton top with cotton bottom).

I wore it with a textured silk pair of pants, black suede flats and my usual leather jacket (what's nice about purchasing an item of quality is that it ages well, the leather is smoother and more mat than a few years ago. It also lasts longer). All black, safe choice for a day/night outfit.

Hills

I had to do another outfit for the blog with these boots and the skirt. I have been wearing these 2 items a lot lately and pairing them with different jackets/sweaters and scarves (depending on the weather).

I am wearing an oversized knit sweater, it's quite long. I like the back of this outfit ie. the combination of the length of the sweater with the short cut of the jacket.

Shades of grey

The perfect time to wear these colour tones is NOW! It's hard to pull off shades of grey and white in the Spring when we are still quite pale . During Fall we still have a healthy glow from summer and with this glow, pale colours come out better.

I love mixing seasons in one outfit. This dress is typically associated to flat sandals / beach vacation. I paired it with what I call "the lamb coat" and it turned out to be a cool match. My boots complement the fall look and help erase the summer effect of the dress.

Fall

Between my mom, my sister, and I,  we own many scarves from all around the world. It adds colour and enhances a certain style depending on the one chosen. It's a bit like jewellery, but even more out there. I don't often wear scarves like the one in this picture but when I do, I like the colour tones to somewhat complement the colours of the outfit. In this case, what I'm wearing is pretty neutral, black everything with a beige-pinkish pullover.  The touch of fuchsia and orange brightens up what I'm wearing!

Fall is the best season to add a few extras to outfits mostly for warmth reasons. Winter in Canada, you need to cover up completely but Fall, especially the beginning of it, allows you to style it up a notch and still be functional.

Wrapped Kimono

And here is a different way of wearing this silk flowery blouse/kimono (previously worn here). It has a very feminine print and I like the contrast with the overly ripped pants. I wrapped the blouse around my waist and secured it with 2 safety-pins for it to hold. I do this often with my clothes, you always have to make sure the pins are well hidden and placed correctly for it to look natural.
